The First Lady by James Patterson and Brendan DuBois<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

I have just finished reading \u2018The First Lady\u2019 by James Patterson and Brendan DuBois. This was a typical Patterson rollercoaster that drew me in, got me hooked and kept me until the end.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

It won\u2019t win a Booker or Pulitzer Prize, but, hey, I enjoyed the read. And isn\u2019t that more important.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

President Tucker is caught \u2018hiking the Appalachian trail\u2019 to use an American euphemism.  This puts his re-election campaign in peril and he really needs the First Lady to stand by him.  But Grace Tucker has other ideas\u2026<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The First Lady goes missing and Agent Sally Grissom, who has her own marital problems, is assigned to find her. With thrills and tension ensuing.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The plot races along at a fair gallop. I think all the character are particularly strong.  There are some similarities to Patterson\u2019s book \u2018The President is missing\u2019 which was written with Bill Clinton. (Which I would also recommend)<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The Plot<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

President Tucker is caught leaving a hotel with his mistress…..and the scandal of his affair sends shockwaves through his re-election campaign. What he needs is for the First Lady to stand by his side. But FLOTUS, his wife, has gone missing.<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Did the First Lady run away? Or is she in far greater danger than anyone could have imagined?<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

It’s up to Sally Grisson, the secret agent charged with finding the first lady, to get to her before something awful happens to her.<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n
