Don\u2019t you just love hearing Christmas carols such as \u201cDing Dong Merrily on High\u201d? The tune first appeared as a secular dance tune in the 1500\u2019s. The words were added latter, by George Ratcliffe Woodward, who first published the carol in 1924.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Or how about the \u201cCarol of the Bells\u201d? The song is based on a Ukrainian folk chant and although the music is in the public domain, Wilhousky\u2019s lyrics are under copyright protection.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

And what about Jingle Bells? One of the best-known songs in the world, it was written by James Lord Pierpont and published under the title \u201cThe One Horse Open Sleigh\u201d in the autumn of 1857. Although it has no original connection to Christmas,<\/sup>it became associated with the holiday season in the 1860s and 1870s.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

What would Christmas be without bells? or, more importantly, one bell in particular.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

It turns out, Rudolph has a very important sleigh bell. Unfortunately, Rudolph\u2019s sleigh bell has gone missing and, while it remains silent, Santa\u2019s sleigh can\u2019t fly! Santa and the rest of his reindeer are distraught.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Who could have done such a thing? Why would anyone want to ruin Christmas?<\/p>\n\n\n\n

At least things can\u2019t get any worse\u2026\u2026\u2026<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Or can they?<\/p>\n\n\n\n

This year it may be DING DONG MERRILY\u2026.AND DIE!<\/p>\n\n\n\n
