I was reading an article that suggested only people who believe in luck have it.<\/a> While it recognised that many people say there\u2019s no such thing as luck, the writer wanted to know what role luck plays in success\u2014and who gets to have it? They found several academic studies had researched whether luck exists. The conclusion seems to be it depends on whether you think it does.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Believing in luck can be a powerful tool. Feeling you have good luck can change your opinion of your strengths and weaknesses and, ultimately, your performance.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

That is not to say academic research proved luck (good or bad) exists. The studies only showed peoples perceptions of luck may affect the outcome of their actions.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

A lot depends on a persons sense of self-efficacy. Do they see themselves as the driving force behind their achievements or do they attribute things to forces outside themselves? Is their success down to their hard work and intelligence or to fate and circumstances. In other words, are things just down to luck?<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Helloween<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

Which brings me neatly segueing into a mystery game that uses the idea of BAD LUCK and curses.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

While the above article focused on peoples belief in good luck, people can also have a strong belief in bad luck. So bad that they think they are cursed. Such is the case in the game Helloween<\/a> by ITM Games.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
