Knives Out opens in cinemas on Wednesday, November 27 2019
Knives Out is written and directed by Rian Johnson. The film has been described as a “modern take on a classic whodunit” that pays tribute to Agatha Christie. it is a murder mystery where everyone is a suspect.
Renowned crime novelist Harlan Thrombey is found dead at his estate just after his 85th birthday, and Detective Benoit Blanc (Daniel Craig) is mysteriously enlisted to investigate.
Harlan Thrombey, played by Christopher Plummer, was a one-man crime-fiction industry. As a murder mystery novelist his adult children and grandchildren had all been living off him for years. So when he becomes a murder victim, it seems that none of his family have motive for killing him.
At least, that’s what the detectives assigned to the case think.
But Detective Benoit Blanc is not so sure. Hired by an anonymous source, this private investigator sets about solving the crime. What will he uncover? You’ll have to see the film to find out……
