Paige Comber dreams of running off to Paris to train at the Cordon Bleu, but fresh out of college, she is stuck running her granny’s coffee shop in the small town of Seaside. He’s here to help his Uncle Byron with his affairs, but when his uncle’s body washes up on the beach and he is accused, it is up to Paige to find out who might have been crazy enough to do it.

Seaside is a small island where everyone knows everyone else. Paige Comber goes to stay with her gran there, working at her Gran’s coffee shop & hanging out with her old friend Johnny. It’s quiet & peaceful until a new guy arrives in town. Paige’s summer is starting to look up…..
Nate has come to the island to help out his uncle Byron. Byron is a recluse who is disliked by the islanders. So no-one is particularly heartbroken when Byron is found dead.
The local police waste no time in arresting Nate for murdering his uncle. However, Paige is sure it wasn’t him and sets to work proving Nate’s innocence.
While Paige is stumbling around looking for clues she stumbles across a second body!
Everything gets more complicated as, suddenly, she is also under suspicion…..
And in trying to prove HER innocence the body count continues to rise…..
This is a quick read and a good cosy mystery, even if I didn’t spot who the murderer was! Looking forward to more books in the series.
