The City Adventurers love a good mystery so we signed up to play The Good, The Bad and The Dead by Red Herring Games. This was a two day online murder mystery adventure. During the day they arrange a variety of activities and each evening you take part in the interactive murder mystery show.
Heading west to Tequila Sunset
The plot of The Good, The Bad and The Dead followed a dastardly murder in Tequila Sunset. On the first day the scene was set for our Wild West adventure.
After an introduction to the weekend and a rundown of all things Red Herring Games produce, we had a great talk about Buffalo Bill.
As the evening approached, it was time for cocktail hour. Our mystery pack included some delicious cocktail recipes, which were demonstrated by Joseph.
Then we settled down to meet the good folks in Tequila Sunset. Well most of them because someone was dead!
Our task was now to discover who killed her……
Overnight there was another murder!
The murder mystery itself was performed over two evenings by actors. We got to interrogate the suspects on the first night.
Unfortunately, during the night, one of them was also murdered.
Tequila Sunset was a dangerous place to be. Now we had two murders to solve.
This time we were joined at the interrogation by the local sheriff. Would this be any help? Or could he be another suspect?
So much is included in the weekend.
On day one we had a talk on Buffalo Bill and Cocktail Hour.
On day two we started with a Wild West themed Escape Room puzzle. The City Adventurers managed to escape in around 50 minutes. The fastest team took 24 minutes.
Then we had a line dancing class, followed by a cook-along with Joseph. The recipes had been included in the mystery pack so we could cook at the same time. I made the chilli but didn’t manage to make the muffins. It tasted divine.
And as if that wasn’t enough, Jo ran a themed quiz night ahead of part 2 of the murder mystery.
A Red Herring Games murder mystery weekend is not just a murder mystery show. There are so many different activities included in one of these weekends. And all the activities are themed to the plot.
A fun adventure…..and we half solved the mystery by correctly naming one murderer.
