This February the City Adventurers headed back to Southampton and back in time to the 1920’s. Our destination was the Gatsby Club and a party being held by the notorious playboy. Rumour had it that this lady killer was about to be tied down. Could this be an engagement party?
Plot
It is 1923 and the notorious playboy millionaire Gatsby has invited you to join him to celebrate his forthcoming wedding. His extravagant parties are the cat’s pyjamas and everything is going roaringly well, but that was before the body was found…
Review
We arrived at the party to find at least one lady there was expecting a marriage proposal. So it appeared Gatsby was still up to his old love-em-and-leave-um ways.
And then there was the small matter of the “old friends” and former lovers……boy did Gatsby have a lot of women after him! Is it any wonder that things turned a little dangerous.
Lucky he had his side kick, Nick to watch his back. Or did he?……
Lucky for Gatsby, he wasn’t the one heading to the speakeasy in the sky……So who did get murdered? And who killed them?
Let’s just say we were close but not close enough to solve this mystery.
