The City Adventurers Dartford Day Out

The City Adventurers headed to the Orchard Theatre in Dartford to see the world premiere stage adaption of “Wish You Were Dead”. This production is the latest Peter James play about Detective Superintendent Roy Grace.

We had intended travelling by train, but industrial action put pay to that, so we all piled into the car and motored south. Arriving in Dartford we had time to have a look around the shops and the High Street, before stopping for lunch at the Bella Venezia Cafe Bistro.

After lunch we took our seats at the Orchard Theatre. The latest Peter James play was a bit different as Detective Superintendent Roy Grace was supposed to be on holiday with his family. But, ever the copper, he just couldn’t resist checking in on work. Or he would have done if only there was WiFi at their chosen chambre d’hôte.

But the WiFi soon turns out to be the least of his problems……

A good play, well acted by the cast. A great day out.
