Signed Sealed Delivered

The City Adventurers traveled back in time to solve a murder case from 1985, virtually performed by Murdered For Money.

On the same day as the iconic Live Aid perfomances there was a brutal murder in a small English village. The story was set against a backdrop of musical nostalgia. Over five days we listened to evidence, considered the clues and struggled to solve the puzzles.

On the Saturday night all the investigators gathered on zoom to interrogate the suspects. A great chance to question the actors and see some regular investigators.

Were we able to solve the crime?

Spoiler: There were two murderers and we got one out of two – so close but no cigar.

The Plot

On Saturday, July 13, 1985, Live Aid, an extraordinary concert, took place in the UK and USA  raising funds for a devastating famine in Ethiopia.  Seventy two thousand people traveled to the sell out event at Wembley Stadium and 1.5 billion people settled down by the TV and radio to listen. Over £100 million pounds was raised.

Travel back to the morning of that historic day, to the remote Hampshire village of ‘Windy Rannets’, into the post office at the top of the high street. Here a murder took place on that day and ‘a pillar box of the community’ was dispatched to that ‘Great Big Sorting Office in the Sky’.
